Surf Launch or Harbour
- Surf launch. The boat goes out through the breaking waves. It is quick to the fishing but wet and bumpy, and it depends on the surf.
- Harbour. Durban boats leave from inside the port, so there is no surf launch. Allow time to drive down from Umhlanga.
